As FL continues to gain popularity, it also faces growing threats, particularly from poisoning attacks. Dr. Li introduced an advanced attack that mimics benign model updates while causing significant disruption — distinct from traditional FL attacks. He then presented novel security measures that go beyond simple threshold-based mechanisms, offering a more robust defense against these sophisticated threats.
